Tobogganing in the Salzburg Saalach Valley
Sledding is probably the funnest, most special way to get some outdoor exercise and enjoy the idyllic landscapes of the Saalach Valley. Be sure not to miss:
- The romantic Maria Kirchenthal natural toboggan run (2.1 km), illuminated by torches every Tuesday and Thursday evening (Tel. +43-6588-8510)
WINTER 2007/08: only open over Christmas & New Year’s. CLOSED from 06.01.2008 due to construction work!!! - Another great tip is the floodlit sledding hill that starts at the Knappenstadel restaurant and drops down to the valley in Lofer (Tel. +43-6588-8449)
